I’m so excited to say that Bino and I are finally retuning to Nepal. It has been five years since we have been there. We were supposed to return at the beginning of 2020, but we all know how that worked out! We are so excited to be able to visit the communities we have been working with both before and following our last visit, along with a ceremony to celebrate the successful completion of the Thamdanda water and sanitation project with the Rotary Foundation. As well as visiting Bhaktapur, Thamdanda and the Chitwan communities, we are also taking some time out for a trek! I can’t wait to get back to the mountains, for me, it’s back where my love affair with Nepal and their people all began. From 2024, HLF will begin to run an annual trek that will have a fundraising element, (for those interested we are considering Everest Base Camp as our first ‘big ticket’ trek and will also be combining this with options for those who aren’t interested in or are unable to do a high altitude trek). This is to help ensure the long-term stability and viability of our charity and enable us to continue with the incredible work we’ve already been able to do. So, I’ll be actively sharing our trip on the HLF social media channels.
